Job Description
Brand new role is now available with a well-established, award-winning consultancy based locally to Huddersfield. They are looking to bring in an intermediate Building Surveyor who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You’ll join a growing team working across a varied portfolio of projects, including new-build residential schemes, refurbishment works, and cladding remediation projects. The role offers the chance to combine technical Building Surveying expertise with hands-on Project Management responsibilities, working closely with clients, contractors, designers and wider project teams.
Your responsibilities:
Acting as Contract Administrator and managing project delivery from inception through to completion
Preparing specifications, schedules of work and technical reports
Carrying out site inspections, quality checks and attending project meetings
Managing contractors, consultants and project communications
Supporting cost control, programme management and design coordination
Providing CDM Consultant / Principal Designer duties, Party Wall Act surveys and property surveys
Building strong client relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery
This is a great role for someone who enjoys a varied workload, client interaction and taking ownership of projects with a high level of autonomy.
Ideal Expeirence:
RICS or CIOB accredited construction degree
Post-qualification experience (ideally across new build and refurbishment projects)
Experience delivering similar Building Surveying and Project Management services
Confident managing clients, contractors and project teams
Strong communication, leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Full UK driving licence
