Job Description

Built Alliance are representing a national multidisciplinary consultancy recognised for its design-led approach, technical expertise, and long-standing partnerships across the public sectors. With a strong reputation across architecture and building surveying, they deliver intelligent and sustainable building solutions throughout the UK.

This opportunity is for an Architectural Technologist to join their Manchester team, supporting the design and technical delivery of education projects, including new build and refurbishment schemes for schools and colleges across northern regions. You’ll work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team combining architectural design with surveying and project management expertise.

The role involves developing detailed technical drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD, coordinating design information between clients, consultants, and contractors, and ensuring all work meets current building regulations, sustainability standards, and design quality benchmarks. You’ll contribute from early design through to construction stages, playing an active part in the successful delivery of projects.

We’re seeking a qualified Architectural Technologist with experience in a UK design or multidisciplinary environment, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to produce accurate, buildable design information.

Proficiency in Revit and experience working within education led sectors would be advantageous but they’re happy to consider technologists/technicians from other sectors as perhaps more junior level for the right person.

Great position to join a respected national consultancy with a strong technical and design reputation. The Manchester team offers a supportive environment, hybrid working, and achievable scope for professional development and career progression.
